چکیده

To obtain lightweight and environmentally friendly building materials that can be produced quickly at low cost, among others, obtained through the use of natural fiber based ferrocement concrete technology. The light weight combined with fibers to form structural components is intended reduce mass but also protect environment benefit banana farmers' income. Ferrocement (FLWC) by partially substituting fine aggregate pumice sand adding stem a (FLWFC) composition. Compressive tensile tests on were carried out 7, 14, 21 28 days, respectively. test results showed optimal composition FLWC FLWFC occurred in substitution 40% length 3 cm 0.05% cement density 1437 kg. compressive strength without days 8.4 MPa 2.15 respectively, while added increased about 6%, namely 8.9 for 83% 3.94 MPa. Flexural Sandwich Wall Panels (SWP) prism-shaped specimens dimensions 60 x 30 5 cm, 45 15 4 10 respectively 1.60 MPa, 1.86 2.4 fiber. increase flexural SWP was 40.63% (2.25 MPa), 21.51% (2.26 MPa) 18.75% (2.85 SWP-FLWC using Banana Fibers (BF) or an average 26% increase. size effect object looks significant, is, there tendency larger object, smaller value, contrary, role contributing seen more significant.

Mechanical Behaviour of Geopolymer Concrete under Ambient Curing

Utilisation of fly ash and Ground Granulated Blast Slag as an alternative material in concrete reduces the use of OPC in concrete. Evolution of geopolymer concrete cured at ambient temperature broadens its suitability and applicability to concrete based structures. This paper presents the mix proportions and outcome of an experimental study on the density and compressive strength of geopolymer ...

Behaviour of fibre reinforced concrete slabs

This paper presents a comparison of the properties of concrete slabs when two types of fibres are added. One specimen had no fibres and acted as a control specimen. The remaining four specimens had steel and polypropylene fibres added in the volumetric ratio of 0.5% and 1.0%. The dimensions of the slab specimens were 820×820×80 mm and were supported by four rollers at their edges. A displacemen...

Viscoelastic behaviour of a polyester resin concrete reinforced with non- metallic bars under bending loads

This paper deals with the study of a highly durable polyester polymer concrete reinforced with glass fibre reinforced polymer rebars. The paper describes the properties of this specific concrete, which were tested using different experimental techniques such as porosimetry, scanning electron microscopy and petrography. Likewise, characterisation in a macro-scale was carried out to define the me...

Effect of Native Fissures on the Mechanical Behaviour of Rock under Uniaxial Compression

Original scientific paper Rock generally contains various micro-cracks, fissures, pores, joints, and other defects. These defects affect the mechanical properties of rock. In order to clarify the influence of native fissures on rock deformation and failure modes, a laboratory study was carried out using the fissured dolomite, and acoustic wave velocity measurement and natural water absorption t...
